The Kinsmen is a Canadian Non-Profit service Organization that promotes Service, Fellowship, Positive Values, and national Pride.  We are comprised of Local Clubs, District Clubs and a National Foundation.  The Association boasts a proud 90-year history dedicated to fostering life-long friendships while ‘Serving the Community’s Greatest Need.’  Calgary Kinsmen provide service by raising money for the most needed projects within the community.  In addition to providing financial support, we also volunteer our time to help out community projects directly.

The Kinsmen is looking for someone with a strong financial background to join the board of directors of their charitable foundation.  Specifically, the club is looking for someone who can help with:

-analysis the appropriateness of transactions within the club,

- assist with preparation of annual returns,

-ensure the club’s compliance with Alberta Liquor and Gaming Commission regulations,

-and other general finance/accounting matters,

-being an active member of the club.

Meetings are the first Wednesday of each month for approximately 2 hours. Other duties as part of this role take an additional 2-3 hours per month.
